Change is coming.
I have been doing some reading lately and have decided I need to make a change. I will be transforming my business and the way that I build websites, they way that I do business and the way that I market. I will still be building websites and I will still be building my business but I have suspected for some time that I was running down a beaten path to a ledge.
After recently re-reading Seth Godin’s “Knock-Knock” eBook, it became clear to me that I have to make a change — to shift my philosophy of website design into the new way of the web.
I have always understood that websites are not a brochure or a poster but a fluid facet of marketing but have fallen into many of the same design pitfalls that plague other design firms.
Yes my websites look “good” and “function” but do they really increase the income of my clients? That is difficult to measure. Many of my clients don’t have the time or ability to measure anything other than huge increases in sales.
Here are the two questions that have precipitated my change:
- So how do I get their sites to make that huge increase in sales or subscriptions etc.?
- How do I have to change my business to increase my effectiveness in my marketing and management?
I obviously need to grow and change . Come back often to see what comes from the new permanent evolution.
